Is There Yet Another “Missionary Jewish Leader” in Our Midst?

Recent headlines about Michael Elkohen (originally Michael Elk) who is masquerading as a Rabbi, Mohel, Kohain, Mesader Kiddushin, and Sofer have been creating shockwaves in the Torah community. Are there more such people? There may be yet another one.

The individual under discussion is someone who goes by the name of Shelomo Alfassa. My investigations have led me to the following conclusion. The man known as Shelomo Alfassa is, according to my investigations, a fraud.

He is a gentile who is a well-trained Christian missionary who has hidden and ensconced himself in the Sephardic Jewish community.

There seems to be no end to these posers. Years ago I came out of the so-called "Messianic Jewish" movement and was one or their so-called "Messianic Rabbis" and was very aware of the infiltrations being done by such organizations as the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA) and the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues (IAMCS). However, what we have been witnessing of late is something radically new and different and dangerous for our people.

These posers are using deception. When I was involved (I left the movement in 1998 after realizing the idolatry and falsehood of the entire movement), yet even back then they did not resort to such deception and trickery. They were very open about who they were and what the mission was. This kind of activity going on today would make the Christian movement's founder, the heretic Paul, a very proud man (remember he stated himself he posed as whoever or whatever would gain him converts - SEE: 1 Corinthians 9:20).

I thank faithful men like Rabbi Tovia Singer and groups like Jews for Judaism and many other Torah Observant Jews brought into my life for helping me all those many years ago to allow HaShem, through the study of His Torah, to open my eyes and mind to His truth found in His words in the Tanakh and for His loving patience that allowed me to return to Him, His Torah, His people and my people, Israel. Baruch HaShem!

I have spent the last 23 years learning, studying, and teaching His Torah and exposing these kind of frauds. Thank you and all others who are doing the same.
