Shabbat Sukkot: Some Things Change - Some MUST Endure

"Our planet has faithfully sustained humankind since time immemorial. But for reasons founded or unfounded, man is growing fearful of our planet's staying power and is busily designing alternatives to farm grown fruits and vegetables, meats and cheeses. But as man's eons old connection to mother earth fades away, we can count on the Jews to vigilantly maintain a traditional connection and dependence upon the earth for our Torah mandated tasks and responsibilities, such as dwelling in sukkot made of organic material, and possessing the arba minim - four species - required by Torah for the proper observance of Sukkot."
